I Create Another Day

Daring to Move Again

We watched my ex’s daughter yesterday, while they were moving.  She’s 22 months and please, I just have to believe that, even with the age gap, that having my own child that small, along with The Girlie, will be easier when I’m not actually pregnant.

I was so exhausted yesterday and had to fight off my afternoon nap, because I was responsible for this second little person.

We had a good time, though.  We went to Costco, lunch, watched a couple of movies and went in the pool/spa.  The Girlie absolutely adores her little sister, so it was a big treat for her to be over at our house yesterday, rather than being cooped up in their small apartment.

Which, they no longer will be.  They moved to a small house that is half the distance from us now (whoo!), which might actually not be all that much bigger than their apartment, but it’s a house.  It has a huge backyard, a garage and a nice sized front yard, as well.  When we got there and were looking around, we hit the backyard, and The Girlie yelled “Freeeedommmmm!” and ran as far as she could out into it.  It was hilarious.  (It’s about a third of an acre, I think.)

So, we both got to deal with diapers yesterday, as well as the napping, food and sippy issues.  Jesse was grateful for the experience, because it kind of showed us how things would be.

Of course, The Girlie will be even older when The Jelly is that old, so things should even be all that much easier.  Not to mention the fact that The Jelly will be ours, so negotiating things like lunch and naps will hopefully be easier.

I hope, anyway.

And, again, I am hoping the entire thing will be less exhausting because I won’t actually be pregnant at the time.

Officially in the third trimester now and have bucket loads of exhaustion to show for it.  I am due exactly three months from tomorrow and have thirteen weeks to go, as of Wednesday.

We’re all extremely excited, obviously.

When I’m not too busy napping, that is.
